How it worksThe method
Scoring habits drift: a 7.8 in one year is not the same as a 7.8 in another. For the year-adjusted list, each score is compared only with the other scores from the same calendar year. We compute a z-score (how many standard deviations above that year's average the score sits) and rank by it; the within-year percentile (share of that year's scores it beats, counting ties as half) is shown alongside. Reviews from 2013–2016 (only 5) are pooled with 2017. Frozen pies are left out of both lists. Raw ranking ties go to the earlier review.
